Environmental Conservation

TAWEA implement activities contributing to local environmental conversation and climate change adaptation; actions which also contribute to women’s prosperity and their reproductive health. The drop of agricultural productivity and increasing scarcity of water in villages limit women’s ability to attend to reproductive health services and broader primary health services. For example, water scarcity implies longer and more dangerous trips to fetch water and farming on failing soils creates increasingly difficult socio-economic positions for women.

In many societies, women and girls are the ones who conduct many economic activities in their environment. Environmental factors can then be classified into categories such as physical, chemical, biological, behavioral and socioeconomic. In many circumstances, multiple environmental factors may contribute to adversely affect women’s health. TAWEA aims to ensure the health of women and communities are improved.

TAWEA promote environmental conversation, through empowering women, youth and children to be friendly to the environment, provision of education on the importance of planting fruit and nutritious trees so as to protect health status of the people and also provision of community sensitization on importance of environmental conservation for the present and future generation.
